Eastney Gas Engine House is now running weekly open day events from 10am-12pm every Wednesday.
Volunteers will keep the wheels turning and you can join them for a look around. All are welcome but children must be supervised.
Eastney Beam Engine House remains closed for the time being.
How to get here
By car: Take the Eastern Road into Portsmouth, following signs for Central Southsea. Turn onto the A288 (Milton Road and Eastney Road) following signs for Seafront. Turn left onto Bransbury Road. The museum will be on your left in 0.4 miles.
By train: The nearest railway station to Eastney Engine Houses is Fratton. It’s a 1.5 mile (31 minute) walk to the museum via Goldsmith Avenue, Eastney Road and Bransbury Road.
By bus: The nearest bus stops to Eastney Engine Houses are Halliday Crescent and Ferry Road, operated by First Bus. Both are on the 15 route.
Eastney Engine Houses will not be in steam until further notice.
